The Battle for the Bay started out as a relatively small event in Clontarf 10 years ago this week.

The 10th edition of this unique event takes place this weekend. The event is now backed by Failte Ireland, Dublin Tourism and many international sponsors. It brings in many overseas visitors to Dublin, and Clontarf each year.

Catherine and Francois from Pure Magic deserve huge credit for building this event into what it is today. Show your support by popping down this weekend. It's a fantastic spectacle for all the family.

Dollymount Beach regains Blue Flag Status

Fantastic news this morning as Dollymount Beach regains its Blue Flag status.

A lot of effort goes in throughout the year testing water samples so this is indeed great news and is a welcome boost to the local economy.

Well done to all concerned....
