Interested in Volunteering? Rotary are Started a New Club in Clontarf!

Rotary is starting a new club in Clontarf. An information evening will be held at Clontarf Rugby Club on Wednesday 27th September, for anyone who might be interested in volunteering. 

The event takes place from 7 pm until 8.30pm.

See Dublin V Mayo This Sunday @ Peil Na mBan Final!

This Sunday, 24th September, Áth Cliath and Maigh Eo meet again, this time in the TG4 Peil na mBan/Ladies Football Final. Cluain Tarbh is bringing a massive crowd of 450 supporters into Croke Park to cheer on The Dubs.

In particular, Chluain Tarbh is cheering on Sarah McCaffrey who is a member of the Dublin team and club member Mick Bohan who is the Dubs Bainisteoir. 

Throw in in Croker is 4 pm

If anyone is interested in joining the group they can contact any Ladies mentor in the club or get in touch with us on Twitter/Facebook and we'll pass on the details. This is a great opportunity for younger GAA players to get to attend a great occasion.

Everyone is welcome back to Áras Chluain Tarbh after the game where they hope to be celebrating a Dubs Double!

Safer Communities Campaign - Advice from Gardai

An Garda Síochána are running a "Supporting Safer Communities Campaign" from tomorrow September 19th until Monday 25th. 

As we approach the Winter months, and the evenings grow darker, it's essential that we all follow the 'lock up and light up' procedure in order to lower the risk of your home being broken into, or property being stolen.

Lion's Club Fundraiser for Local Man Gordon McKay

The Clontarf & District Lion's Club will host a fundraising Quiz Night in Aid of the Gordon McKay Trust. 

This event will take place on Thursday 28th September at 8 pm and Clontarf Lawn Tennis Club, Oultan Road, Clontarf. 

Places are €10 per person and there are 4 people allowed on a team.

Bull Island Action Group September Beach Clean Up

Below are details of The Bull Island Action Group Beach Clean Up for September 2017, taking place this Saturday 16th.

Time: Work starts at 11:00 a.m, so please try to arrive 15 minutes early.

Place: The group meets at the entrance to Dollymount Strand, just past Royal Dublin Golf Club.

By Bus: Take the Route 130 bus from Lower Abbey Street. 

Bus Stop: Get off at the Wooden Bridge - ask the bus driver - and then walk for five minutes onto the island.

Duration: Two hours.

St Anne's: the Story of a Guinness Estate

To celebrate Culture Night 2017, Manresa House will host a talk by Joan Sharkey entitled, St Anne’s: the Story of a Guinness Estate

The land currently occupied by Manresa and St Anne’s Park was, at one time, known as Baymount House and the Guinness Estate. On Friday 22nd September, as part of Culture Night, Manresa House will host a talk by Joan Sharkey of the Raheny Heritage Society, describing the origins and development of what is now Dublin’s second largest public park.

Mamma Mia! Scoil Ui Chonaill ABBA Tribute Night!

Mamma Mia! Scoil Uí Chonaill will host a fantastic ABBA tribute night on Saturday 30th September!

Get your flares out and your Dancing Queen boots on and head along to the Scoil Clubhouse to dance the night away to the music of ABBA.

Clontarf Autumn Fair 2017!

The Clontarf Autumn fair is back for 2017!

Taking place in St. John the Baptist Church & Parish, Seafield Road West, on Sunday 24th of September from 2 pm - 6 pm. 

This year's fair promises to be the best yet and will see their biggest ever book stall. there will also be a BBQ and Coffee shop with cakes to keep your fuel while you browse everything on offer.
