Help Us Track Down the Boys in this Photo!

We're gonna really need a lot of help with this one, folks!

Earlier this week we received a message all the way from the U S of A from a man named Charlie. Charlie and his wife (from Coolock) have just celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary - we're not surprised judging by the passion in the photo below! They were married in St. John's Church on July 18th, 1988 and took their wedding photos in St. Anne's Park.

Charlie and his wife plan to return to Clontarf at Christmas to celebrate their 30th anniversary and would love to track down the four lads who posed with them for this wedding photo! Do you recognise any of the boys in the photo (they would now be 36 years old!) or maybe you vaguely remember posing for a wedding photo in 1988? If so, please get in touch with us at

It would be incredible to replicate this photo during…

One of our favourite things about Clontarf is seeing the community come together in various ways. The video we produced for local lad Matthew Hayes and his fmaily (above), is a touching example of how neighbours can come together and look out for each other, offering help and support in situations where those in need may never ask for it.

The 2017 Mighty Matthew Cycle takes place from August 18th - 19th with all funds raised going directly to provide support for both Matthew and his family. Many members of the community of Clontarf will cycle 320km to show their support, so please donate if you can.

A big thank you to the residents of Vernon Grove, Kincora Road, Seapark Road and Hunter's Row who turned out in force a couple of weeks ago to clean up the roadsides and verges of these areas which look fantastic now. Maura and Tina who organised the cleanup were delighted to see so many people come on board, and are happy to say that many friendships were made amongst neighbours meeting for the first time.

The group would also like to thank Dublin City Council for their assistance in collecting the 'blue bags' when work was complete.

If you are interested in organising…
