- About Clontarf Business Association
The CBA was formed in January 2010 and we have over 125 members and still growing. Our committee comprises of nine dynamic people who have the vision to build a brand 'Clontarf' on a local, national and international platform. We set out to get a brand identity/logo, a website, a magazine and building a relationship with DCC and Failte Ireland. I am delighted to tell you we have achieved all of these and our next task is selling Clontarf, your area, worldwide.
For service-orientated businesses, we have used the website to help them to connect with local residents and to promote their services. Networking between business owners is also a key part of our agenda and you will see more in this area in the coming months.
Most of all, we strive to ensure that, you, as a local business, have a strong connection with other business owners and managers in the area.
The CBA is growing, whether you are a retailer, someone working from home, or a professional service, we are offering you the opportunity to interact with other members and benefit from the support of your fellow businesses through the network of the CBA.
We have also built strong links with with the CRA (Clontarf Residents' Association) with whom we launched this new website www.Clontarf.ie. This has facilitated a much closer working relationship with Failte Ireland and Dublin City Council.
Why join the CBA?
- We have an extremely practical and pro-active working committee
- We encourage communication between members. This is vital as it facilitates networking, collaborative marketing, brainstorming and support channels to each business
- We help our members to build stronger relationships with their customers and neighbours through links with the Clontarf Residents’ Association, local schools and sporting organisations
- We encourage both businesses and local residents to ‘shop local’ by highlighting the quality, value for money and benefits in keeping local.
- You can avail of discounted listings (18-25%) on the Clontarf.ie website. Gold, Silver or Bronze packages are available at a fee depending on the scale of your business. You too can harness the power of social media through Clontarf.ie and our links on Facebook & Twitter.
- We have developed and maintained strong links with Dublin City Council, our local representatives and Failte Ireland. Currently we are working on a number of initiatives with Failte Ireland and our Tourism Committee for Clontarf projects like twinning and preparations for 2014
- Working with you, we can achieve so much more to put Clontarf on the map as a tourist destination and to ensure that Clontarf is and continues to be the best place to rest, work and play
Please feel free to email us in confidence on any business-related matter in our area.
Community Events
The CBA runs two major community events each year:

Christmas Tree Lighting Festival - Usually held in November, this one is for the kids! Santa makes a guest appearance each year and the tree lights are switched on to mark the official start of the Christmas season.
